Thomas Pattiz
Ph.D. Candidate, Political Science
University of Pennsylvania
I'm a PhD Candidate in Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania and a Graduate Fellow at the Andrea Mitchell Center for the Study of Democracy. My research examines the politics of everyday life, arguing that its struggles carry political significance independent of their relations to larger structures of power.
My teaching has been recognized with the University of Pennsylvania's Penn Prize for Excellence in Teaching by Graduate Students and its Dean's Award for Distinguished Teaching by Graduate Students. Prior to my graduate studies, I worked as a Program Director at Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies.
I hold an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania and an A.B. in History and Government from Georgetown University. To learn more, download my CV or contact me at tpattiz@sas.upenn.edu.
